Celebrating our ‘100 Heroes’

Earlier this year Apex launched the ‘100 Heroes’ initiative to identify and acknowledge the exceptional contributions made by so many of our employees during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our employees across the globe have remained calm and pragmatic throughout and we are extremely proud of how they have handled the situation. This initiative acknowledges and rewards employees that have gone ‘above and beyond’ to help support their colleagues and the business through this challenging time.

 

Through a peer nomination and voting process, a total of 440 nominations were reviewed by a panel and the Group’s ‘100 Heroes’ were selected from across all functions and entities within the Group.

 

The final ‘100 Heroes’ have stories ranging from dedicating hours to supporting colleagues with their mental health, to sacrificing time with family and cancelling personal celebrations in order to help others, keep the business running smoothly and maintain excellent service for our clients.

With 45 offices and over 3,500 employees worldwide, it is through these individuals’ efforts over the last six months that the Group was able to implement its business continuity plans. For the first time in the company’s history Apex introduced a full remote working strategy, the outcome of an outstanding collective effort across the business.

 

Having dealt with business continuity planning in relation to COVID-19 since the original outbreak in Asia, we gained the advantage of some early learnings around how to overcome health and safety, procedural operations and infrastructure challenges. Our employees enabled us to simply and efficiently modify and replicate these plans in other locations with confidence and ensure that our clients received business as usual service. As a result of this combined effort we have achieved consistency in client service levels across our global network despite the disruption caused by the pandemic.

 

The announcement of our 100 Heroes is a recognition of the dedication and the support our employees have shown each other and our clients through a challenging time. It is important to us as a business, and central to our values, that we are the best partner we can be to our clients and we thank our Heroes for enabling us to achieve this.
