The Role:

The overall objective of this role is to be responsible for the day-to-day management of Group Treasury operations.  Providing support to the Group Treasurer and deputising where appropriate.

The Assistant Treasurer will ensure that Group Treasury processes are up to date, fully documented and are effective, working with the Treasury Analyst and IT to ensure the maximum use and benefit of the systems that Treasury uses.

You will manage the daily Cash process & various FX, and local entity cash forecasting provided by the business globally, driving and implementing efficient liquidity management and hedging across the Group. Supporting the Group Treasurer in managing bank relationships, external advisors and the various Apex businesses to ensure that all documentation, processes group wide is up to date and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of Group Treasury operations and exposures.
  • Developing members of the Treasury team / Payments and AR teams.
  • Driving change through improved processes and reporting, champion for engagement.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance, e.g. EMIR, AML, CRS.
  • Ensuring that Treasury documentation is monitored, accurate and updated.
  • Managing Group liquidity and ensure accurate business forecasts and they are adhered to.
  • Managing Group FX exposure and ensure policy compliance across the Group.
  • Supporting and deputising for Group Treasurer as required.
  • Proving cover for other Treasury personnel as needed.
  • Meeting annual objectives agreed with the Group Treasurer.
  • Assist with driving the various Treasury change programs currently ongoing across the group
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years appropriate Treasury experience including Cash Management and FX exposure.
  • Knowledge of various Treasury Systems, banking systems and Swift experience is also necessary for this role.
  • Academic background with desirable qualifications/certifications
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A high level of visibility within a large organisation on an upwards trajectory
  • The ability to define marketing processes to drive innovation and have a tangible impact on the business

  • Exposure to all aspects of the business, cross-jurisdiction and to working with senior management directly.
