This is an exciting opportunity for ambitious brand manager ready for a challenge. You will have the opportunity to work within a global cross-border marketing team for a large financial services provider. This business has grown 10 x over the past two years and requires a brand manager to act as ‘brand guardian’, maintaining brand integrity and a clear brand narrative across all company marketing initiatives, communications, collateral and messaging.

You will be responsible for supporting long term planning of the Group’s brand strategy, and relationship with its sub-brands, ensuring alignment with the Company Vision. You will work closely with the wider communications team to drive brand strategy, activities and will be a strong communicator with solid collaboration skills. You must be highly responsive, have attention to detail and the ability to contribute creatively to the brand’s evolution.

Job Specification:

  • Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing and Communications, you will be responsible for enhancing brand visibility and recognition on a global basis.
  • Enhance and create the tools, policies and processes to support the brand throughout the Group.
  • Setting and enforcing style guides, brand guidelines, brand vision and value proposition for short as well as long term – for the Apex Group and its sub-brands.
  • Work with the internal communications manager to develop and implement programs to educate, engage and motivate employees to deliver on the brand.
  • Develop and be a vocal advocate for the brand POV globally.
  • Managing the parent brand and brand relationships with any subsidiary brands, ensuring co-branding and messaging requirements are clear and adhered to.
  • Assisting with new service and product launches.
  • Monitor marketing trends to ensure the brand maintains relevance with target audiences.
  • Working closely with the Head of Media relations for a consistent brand message and corporate narrative.
  • Working closely with the communications and demand teams on sourcing and leveraging advertising and promotional opportunities in line with business objectives.
  • Maintaining responsibility for the Group’s business cards and issuing in the approved format as required for new sales starters.
  • Leading the annual brand audit and reporting regularly on brand sentiment in key markets and within key audiences.
  • Supporting the digital team with all digital brand requirements i.e. website and portal branding.
  • Management of the Group’s corporate image bank.
  • Guardian of the brand – managing supplier and partner relationships where use of the Group or any sub-brand, logo or company name are used
  • Management of the freelance graphic design relationship maintaining control of clear time priority objectives for brand or design projects.
  • Working with external brand agencies if required.
  • Manage creative asset development and delivery across multiple channels
  • Act as a partner to the local offices to ensure they are adopting best practices and the visual brand is represented within the office environment and during office-fitouts.
  • Minimum 5 years in a B2B brand management role.
  • Excellent standard of written English (a related degree is preferable).
  • Knowledge of marketing/branding/communications concepts
  • Well versed in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Problem solving skills and a natural attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in a brand management role at a corporate business.
  • Brand awareness – a clear understanding of parent and sub-brand relationships and the marketing mix
  • Enjoys working in a busy, deadline-driven, creative environment
  • A self-starter able to bring creative and well thought-out ideas to the business with strong proof points to help drive brand innovation
  • The ability to think long term and strategically while also executing tactically.
  • A natural collaborator with a solid understanding of stakeholder management, both internal and external
  • A natural collaborator able to work with multiple stakeholders simultaneously in a high pressure environment
  • A strong focus on results and a high degree of business acumen
  • Analytical ability – developing data insights on brand equity, brand evolution, brand sentiment, audience sentiment etc.
  • Experience using design tools including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Demonstrable experience in enhancing brand reputation for a < 2,000 employee business.
