Assistant Vice President

The principal responsibility for this role is the client service management of our Private Equity, Real Estate and Venture Capital fund administration clients serviced out of our San Mateo office. The role will include oversight of the operational work being performed locally and in other locations globally, financial statement and other fund admin reporting, client visits, global projects and client integration management. In addition, the person will be involved in sales pitches and in leading the direction of a growing business in an entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

Client relationship management and acting as principle point of contact

  • Working with and coordination of client cross location support models
  • US GAAP & IFRS reporting for investment companies
  • Assisting in the development of new & existing global client relationships, optimizing service offerings, productivity and profitability
  • Review and sign-off of Financial Statements and Investor communications for Clients
  • Management of the NAV preparation and review process for our fund clients
  • Ensuring adherence to documented procedures and policies
  • Overseeing the integration of large fund administration mandates
  • A detailed understanding of complex fund structures and fund accounting
  • Experience managing a fund accounting team
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to work on own initiative consistently producing accurate and timely work
  • A high degree of commercial awareness and client service focus
  • Good interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with colleagues, clients, and professional intermediaries
  • A professional accounting qualification
  • Approximately 5-7 years’ experience (Prior experience working at a PE/RE/VC Fund or Fund Administrator or in public accounting considered a plus)
  • Strong IT skills (eFront, Investran, AltaReturn, Intralinks, Investment Cafe experience considered a plus)
