Role & Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the financial components to the organizations strategic plan
  • Maintain departmental policies & procedures
  • Lead the organization’s annual budgeting process
  • Accounting and financial reporting: billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, tax compliance
  • Lead and oversee the management of A/R, A/P, G/L, Workers Comp, Payroll, and other accounting responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports monthly and quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Regulatory tax filings and audits – reviews regulatory changes and ensures company adherence
  • Ensure accurate cash flow forecasting, including monitoring of investments/assets
  • Handle SEC requirements – filings and examinations
  • Create complex financial models to evaluate, measure, and analyze drivers impacting various business areas within the organization/industry to help decision making
  • Oversee due diligence requests as applicable
  • Oversee implementation of financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and credit control.
  • Responsible for the delivery of cost-effective and efficient accounting and financial systems, policies and processes that meet the current and future business requirements of the organization
  • Provide ongoing financial analysis to support the development of company business plan
  • Liaise with appropriate vendors and suppliers
  • Manage audit functions with external auditors
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with leadership to identify and implement business solutions
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on financial matters and provide leadership for the finance function collaboratively to the C-suite
  • Oversee the organization’s risk management activities including financial, general liability and any related insurance coverage
  • Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely matter
  • Provide guidance with acquisition and divestiture opportunities
  • Engage with the C-suite, Board and any relevant Committees
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 5-8 years of experience in a global environment
  • Experience as Controller or CFO at Investment Management organizations such as Private Equity, Hedge Fund, Real Estate Fund
  • CA/CPA or equivalent is preferred
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and the ability to make sound financial decisions
  • Proficient with Excel, accounting systems and general IT
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical skills and attention to details. Should be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, while gathering and analyzing information thoughtfully
  • Solid interpersonal skills, adaptable and resilient to different personalities
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and consistently meet month-end deadlines
  • Strong adaptability skills. Should be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and safe guard sensitive, proprietary information
