Role & Key Responsibilities:

The Corporate Administrator is primarily responsible for implementing, developing and ensuring that corporate services provided by the team are compliant with internal policies and procedures.

She/He provides corporate administration services for a portfolio of client companies including attending client meetings, liaising effectively with local regulators, service providers and other professionals.

Managing, supervising and mentoring the Corporate Administrators and trainees form part of the daily tasks in order to maintain a smooth working environment.

You will be required to interact internally with the various teams at the Mauritius office and other Apex Offices.

Accountabilities and main responsibilities

  • Deal and attend to clients’ inquiries promptly and efficiently;
  • Liaise with the independent auditors of the clients;
  • Attend to regulatory and compliance issues;
  • Review of PPM/Constitution/ Other documents;
  • Incorporation of a company (GBL1, GBL2, Fund, Trust);
  • Preparation of register documents;
  • Opening of clients bank, custody and other accounts;
  • Provide such assistance to your supervisors and colleagues as may be required from time to time; and
  • Deal with any other general matters relating to the clients’ affairs as may be required from time to time.
  • First Degree in Law and Management or Accounting and Finance or any other relevant fields.
  • Studying towards ICSA or ACCA qualification will be a definite advantage.
  • At least 3 to 5 years relevant working experience related to compliance and corporate
  • secretarial work mostly in fund administration
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislations, regulations and codes pertaining to Mauritius.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc)
  • Perform well under pressure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Focused, multitasking and willing to work odd hours when required
  • Willingness to work as part of a team

Qualifications

  • An industry relevant and recognized degree (ACCA/ICAEW partly qualified).
