Role & Key Responsibilities:

As an HR Business Partner, you will be responsible to assist our team in day to day HR operations. You will be required to interact internally with the various teams at the Mauritius office and other Apex Offices.

Accountabilities and main responsibilities

  • Responsible for the full employee life-cycle
  • Take responsibility of the day to day HR operations
  • Provide advice, guidance and coaching for all stakeholders across the entities, in line with organisations policies, procedures and employment law
  • Resolve complex employee relations issues
  • Partner with business leads to develop a deep understanding of relevant business areas, contributing to strategy and change to achieve business objectives
  • Liaise with the Regional/Global HR Team to drive consistency across the business and to share best practice
  • Work with the Regional, Global and Central HR teams for country input into global projects
  • Respond effectively to local and global queries in a timely manner
  • Offer strategic input and practical support whilst providing sound advice to managers in order to mitigate risks
  • Through strong personal behaviours which align with our values, promote a positive work climate to support the attraction and retention of talent in the business
  • Contribute and deliver on new initiatives in line with business strategy
  • Any other day-to-day administrative duties as may be required by the team/Company.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a generalist HR environment
  • Strong employee relations background
  • Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into a people strategy
  • Ability to work autonomously and deliver in a fast-paced work environment
  • Remains change agile and thrives in a dynamic environment with excellent collaboration skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset in regard to HR processes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and credibility at all levels within the company
  • Strong employment legislation knowledge and ability to remain continuously up to date with material changes
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen and understanding of the financial services industry is desirable

Qualifications

  • A human resource management or business-related degree
