Role & Key Responsibilities:

The Regional IT Manager will take the leadership role of IT delivery to the region, and will represent Global IT functions in the regions with the for the adherence of Group IT functions, including IT service Management, Information Security, Service Desk. The Regional IT manager will be the IT escalation point for all Group IT staff in the region, as well as the regional business.

  • Engagement with all Local business management functions in the region (Manager Directors, Regional Managers, key business leads;
  • Attend regional management meetings representing Global IT;
  • Communicate the Group IT vision to local management, local operations and site IT personnel to optimize technology solutions to own and drive the long and short-term goals of the region/division;
  • Responsible as the main interface for IT incident management in the region, and work take the lead and with Global IT resource and vendors through to resolution;
  • Provide regular updates to the business in terms of changes, and incident management;
  • Working with the regional management to identify IT solutions to support business growth;
  • Ensure that there are adequate IT resource in place to support BAU activities, and projects
  • Be accountable for technical standards and optimisation for all services;
  • Interact closely with the Apex Security Team and implement and ensure security policies are in place;
  • Identify technology needs in the region, working with various leadership stakeholders to deliver IT-value, and work with the Group IT to coordinate and supervise the delivery of IT solutions;
  • Be the information security liaison for the region / countries and the main cyber contact for the region / country;
  • Ensure compliance with Apex standards including data protection, compliance and information security;
  • Support with internal and external audits, and take ownership of any remediation actions to come from these reviews;
  • Engage with regional sales opportunities, including attending Client call when required;
  • Take the lead on IT rollout projects in the region, such as Office upgrades, networks rollouts.
  • an experienced support manager with a good understanding of IT landscapes and a good understanding of IT Management;
  • Operations and project management experience
  • Experience with managing multi-disciplinary technical teams;
  • Knowledge and experience in leading ITIL processes and practices in an organisation;
  • Able to implement best practice procedures with strong problem solving & excellent verbal/written communication skills;
  • Excellent reporting & communication skills to IT & Business teams;
  • Ability to converse with both technical & business teams;
  • Ability to lead, mentor and develop a growing team;
  • Experience of troubleshooting and technical support;
  • Certified in ITIL and other control frameworks such as COBIT would be an advantage;
  • Knowledge in Information security and certifications such as CISM would be an advantage;
