This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Marketing Operations professional to help develop and lead the marketing operations strategy for a global financial services company. Apex is on an exceptional growth trajectory, having grown 10 x over the past two years, and requires an experienced marketing operations lead to effectively deliver a repeatable and scalable process for the marketing and communications team to support that growth.

This role is focused on alignment and enablement. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Marketing and Communications, you will be expected to provide direction for the company’s marketing operations strategy leveraging marketing performance data to deliver insights and recommendations. Focused on the optimisation, governance and enablement of marketing processes and technologies to deliver innovation, your goal will be continual improvement, demonstrable impacts and alignment with corporate strategy. You will be responsible for coordinating process and cross-functional interlock and a critical member of the global marketing and communications function; working closely with the Brand and Communications, Product Marketing, Demand and Digital teams in addition to the locally based Data team in Pune. Responsible for planning, executing and tracking impactful processes to achieve marketing excellence, you must be results-driven and ready for a challenge.

Job Specification:

  • Lead the development of the data strategy from a marketing perspective including infrastructure deployment, technology, ownership and marketing process governance.
  • Work in lock-step with Demand Marketing and Digital Marketing teams to prioritise digital effectiveness and marketing ROI.
  • Define strategic agenda for marketing data management in addition to defining the data acquisition strategy to ensure that desired levels of breadth and quality are achieved.
  • Prioritise initiatives and maintain a roadmap for driving results across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Create the measurement plan for marketing data management, including database readiness metrics and metrics that capture the impact of database readiness on downstream marketing processes.
  • Work with the data and CRM team to develop a broader master data management strategy to enhance marketing effectiveness and support business objectives.
  • Deliver effective change management for technology implementation, data policy and process re-engineering within marketing and impacting sales and operations teams.
  • Own and disseminate internal and external marketing best practices.
  • Ensure that marketing measurement drives performance review of key functions and campaigns.
  • Responsible for oversight and process management to ensure compliance of all marketing activities with regulatory requirements (global and local).
  • Work with the Demand and Digital teams to ensure that marketing measurement drives performance review of key campaigns.
  • Drive efficiencies through automation, tech integration, enhanced processes and stakeholder interlock.
  • Lead project to enhance marketing ROI reporting on marketing influenced activity and Scoring within Salesforce and Pardot.
  • Develop and deliver scalable and repeatable processes for a sustained path to growth.
  • Support in the management and evolution of marketing KPI and ROI reporting dashboards.
  • Continually look for tech stack innovation, integration and automation to deliver enhanced insights and performance with strong cost controls
  • Minimum 8 years in a Marketing Operations and/or Data Management roles.
  • A process and results-driven individual with exceptional stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work with business owners and data consumers to define data and reporting requirements
  • Ability to think long term, build a roadmap, prioritise and deliver on key milestones
  • Good knowledge of Marketing best practices
  • High level of attention to detail and process-orientated
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional, cross-jurisdictional environment
  • Works well under pressure and thrives in a deadline driven environment.
  • An autonomous worker who takes the initiative to drive projects forward.
  • A natural collaborator able to explain the benefits of change and deliver successful change management to support marketing innovation.
  • A highly data-driven and analytical style of working.
  • Strong project management skills and a proven track-record of effectively delivering change initiatives.
  • Must have experience with Salesforce and marketing automation platforms (Pardot is a bonus).
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools.
  • Advanced analytics skills.
  • Degree required.
  • A high level of visibility within a large organisation on an upwards trajectory
  • The ability to define marketing processes to drive innovation and have a tangible impact on the business
