We are currently looking for a Payroll and Compensation & Benefits Manager – Assistant Vice President – Level 1 in our HR Team.

The role in a dynamic team and growing business will cover a diverse range of payroll and Compensation & Benefits aspects as well as the support of ongoing projects in different entities belonging to the Apex Group in Luxembourg.

Job Specification: 

The main responsibilities of the position will include the following (but not limited to):

  • Running the monthly payroll for four different entities in Luxembourg;
  • Dealing with complex payroll structures such as split pay, expat arrangements and client payroll;
  • Instruct and supervise three different payroll providers;
  • Ensure compliance with procedures relating to personnel administration (pay, leave, sickness or bonus );
  • Update data in our payroll and HR systems;
  • Supporting employees by answering payroll related questions;
  • Running and providing regular reporting to Finance, Senior Management and Apex Group;
  • Ensure that the different benefit programs are managed efficiently and effectively;
  • Aligning remuneration policies as well as the general Compensation & Benefits offering in all Luxembourg entities;
  • Running regular Compensation & Benefits benchmark exercises and developing a coherent and competitive compensation framework in all Luxembourg entities;
  • Support the annual compensation review as well as the bi-annual bonus rounds;
  • Running all required internal/external audits concerning payroll and Compensation & Benefits;
  • Perform any additional projects as required, e.g. payroll consolidation.
  • Proven experience as Payroll Specialist and/or in the broader Compensation & Benefits area;
  • Solid understanding of payroll and Compensation & Benefits best practices;
  • Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations (employment law, taxation and social security);
  • Willingness to expand that knowledge to other jurisdictions;
  • Proficiency in MS Office;
  • Trustworthy and respecting confidentiality;
  • Outstanding organizational skills with great attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication skills in English, French and German are an asset.
