The Role:

The Senior Payments & Reconciliation Support Officer is responsible for making and controlling payments, while ensuring adherence to Internal Transfer Agency procedures in addition to both internal and Regulatory AML requirements at all times. The role reports to AVP, Transfer Agency.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Supervises a small team within the Transfer Agency department, ensuring that work tasks are managed and performed on a daily basis;
  • Payment Processing for FA and TA Teams;
  • Payment processing/approval for the European Depositary Bank;
  • Understand Payment Structures and assist teams in completing a payment template where required;
  • Booking of Payment related fees;
  • Maintain the Payment Log;
  • Know the currency cut off for each banking platform utilized;
  • Managing day to day activities in line with internal and external SLA timeframes;
  • Forex Transactions (confirmation matching and validation);
  • Reconciliation of Cash and Securities positions;
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements;
  • Token Management for all users on the payment systems.
  • Participation in ad hoc projects in addition to day to day duties;
  • Working as part of a larger global team in the case of out sourced activities.
  • Higher Degree in Economics/Special technical secondary school degree;
  • 4 years of proven experience in a Payments oriented role, 2 of which should be in a senior capacity;
  • Knowledge/Experience of SWIFT and SWIFT message types;
  • Strong planning and organizational skills;
  • German / English speaking (min. B-Level);
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills;
  • Must be able to work with all levels within the organization;
  • Strong multi-tasking skills;
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities and varied decision-making scenarios;
  • An ability to work to tight deadlines.
