This is an exciting opportunity for an SEO expert looking to develop and implement a leading SEO strategy for a global business. Apex is on an exceptional growth trajectory, having grown 10 x over the past two years, and requires an experienced SEO Manager to effectively deliver a repeatable and scalable process for the marketing and communications team to support that growth.

We are looking for an SEO Manager to join our data-driven marketing team. As SEO Manager you will own the end to end process, from planning to delivery of a market leading customer experience, ultimately implementing a high performing SEO strategy to drive awareness and client outcomes. Building from the ground up, you will be required to take ownership of the creation, co-ordination, deployment and optimisation of the CX/SEO strategy.

  • Develop, deploy and coordinate the planning and structure of our SEO strategy from the ground up.
  • Be responsible for the parent site in addition to 4+ sub-brand websites and work with the Head of Brand and Corporate Communications to define best SEO strategy for parent and each sub-brand website to meet requirements and objectives.
  • Define requirements and deliver the implementation of technical, on-page and content CX/SEO audits and optimisations.
  • Monitor and react to continual gap analysis to identify new opportunities as the business evolves.
  • Manage day to day on page optimisation including H1s, URLs, Meta Data, Link Building, body content, knowledge graph, schema etc.
  • Support with the integration of any acquired businesses through understanding the SEO requirements and leveraging interconnect between sub-brand sites and parent site.
  • Drive the SEO agenda across the business to enhance marketing operations and implement SEO best practices and digital excellence.
  • Work closely with the digital marketing team to conduct periodic site On Page and Off Page SEO audits across multiple websites.
  • Research and develop keywords, working with various SEO tools and proposing an SEO roadmap.
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing Operations to apply learning from CX/SEO across other channels such as Paid Media, CRM and other MarTech platforms.
  • Define SEO KPIs and reporting process, working with Marketing Analytics Manager to integrate SEO tactics into performance reporting.
  • Create link-building strategies including guest blog opportunities, PR and outreach.
  • Be responsible for growing traffic, conversions and ultimately revenue.
  • Work with our agency and internal portfolio marketing team to integrate our taxonomy into the SEO strategy.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
  • Self-starter, problem solver, and excellent planner who works well under pressure.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to apply business strategy to SEO outcomes.
  • Excellent understanding of web architecture and mobile SEO.
  • Excellent HTML skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in hands on development of SEO strategy including implementation and ongoing optimisation.
  • A proven track record of delivering results.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into strategy.
  • Experience working with SEO tools and working within a small digital team.
  • Experience in the financial services space a bonus.
  • Ability to use tools such as SEMrush and Keyword Planner to conduct keyword research with the goal of identifying opportunities for new landing pages and blog content.
  • Excellent hands on experience leveraging Google Analytics, Tag Manager and Search console to analyse and report on SEO performance.
  • Graduate degree in Marketing or relevant experience in Finance Industry would be advantageous.
  • A high level of visibility within a large organisation on an upwards trajectory.
  • The ability to build and define the SEO strategy from the group up to deliver a tangible impact on the business.
