Department: Fund Administration

Employment Type: Full-Time

Ensure a high standard of delivery to clients; Train, appraise and the motivate team.

  • establish professional relationships with clients and other key internal/external parties as required
  • drive strategic communication with clients and help negotiate service level agreements (SLA)
  • understand and communicate clients requests with various Apex business functions, operational and support teams to promote effective internal communication & issue resolution
  • develop a broad understanding of Apex business lines and associated product/service propositions
  • Proactively understand the industry environment and keep appraised of regulatory regulatory changes
  • help identify opportunities to expand existing relationship by cross-selling additional Apex products
  • Drive the coordination of new client integrations and manage client launches through various onboarding phases in co-ordination with the Regional onboarding team
  • participate and lead projects in connection with the continuing evolution of the business
  • monitor and manage client SLAs and operational deliverables
  • Assist the local MD with review of client profitability & accounts receivables
  • work closely with the Centre of Excellence Operations team to identify opportunities for process improvements and system development
  • Maintain a controlled and risk mitigated client service team environment and proactively escalate and help resolve issues
  • prepare Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and balanced scorecards for clients based of the SLAs;
  • provide training and supervision to Managers and mentor members of the Client Services team
  • Step in to perform Manager / supervisory roles as necessary
  • 6+ years’ experience in managing a team of Fund Accountants, Senior Fund Accountants and Supervisors
  • You have 8+ years of fund accounting experience in either a Hedge Fund, hedge Fund Administrator, or other financial institution where the accountant has gained significant financial products knowledge
  • knowledge of US/Canadian GAAP and other comprehensive basis of accounting and preparation of financial statements
  • strong leadership skills and supervisory experience of other professionals
  • You have strong project management skills with attention to detail and proven ability to multi-task
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; CPA an asset
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • experienced user of the Paxus Hedge fund accounting platform highly desirable.
  • A high level of visibility within a large organisation on an upwards trajectory
  • The ability to define marketing processes to drive innovation and have a tangible impact on the business

  • Exposure to all aspects of the business, cross-jurisdiction and to working with senior management directly.
