The Role & Key Responsibilities:

To handle a portfolio of clients in the different areas of the business and shoulder immediate/subsequent reporting line(s).

  • Assist on onboarding potential clients along with the Business Development team and handle incorporation of different types of structures.
  • Review of work pertaining to the maintenance of bank accounts, including bank account opening, initiate transfers and liaising with the bank.
  • Handle and provide support to seniors / review of work of subordinates on the day-to-day matters as delegated by the immediate/subsequent reporting line(s). Liaising with clients, as required, on the day-to-day matters.
  • Ensure that all day-to-day matters required to be completed are performed in a timely and satisfactory manner including monitoring tasks. Provide guidance to subordinates.
  • Ensure all required statutory filings with FSC, ROC and other statutory bodies and review of work for of subordinates to that effect.
  • Convene meetings of directors/shareholders, attend board meetings and prepare minutes.
  • Effect customer due diligence (CDD) as per AML Code and maintain an updated list of CDD for all companies.
  • File Annual returns, APS returns, PAYE return, TDS returns, VAT returns, Indian tax returns within statutory due dates.
  • Work on FATCA and CRS filing.
  • Ensure and work with immediate/subsequent reporting line(s) to ensure all internal /statutory /investor deadlines are met, as applicable; and
  • Coordinate and review of work of subordinates, including coaching of such subordinates.

The candidate may also be involved in:

  • Providing support on statutory audit, Annual returns, APS returns, PAYE return, TDS returns and VAT returns, as required.
  • Reviewing of accounts in statutory format including all applicable disclosures and arranging for sign off of accounts.

Please note that the above is not an exhaustive list of duties. Fulfilment of additional duties as and when required is expected from the Assistant Team Leader.

  • Holds a degree / postgraduate and has completed a professional ICSA or ACCA qualification or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of working experience in the Global Business Sector or equivalent;
  • Demonstrates a client service mindset when servicing the client.
  • Ability to work under pressure and strict timelines when required.
  • The individual needs to be highly organised and has very high attention to detail in a digitised environment.
  • Has strong interpersonal and good communication skills.
  • The individual is well organised and a track record of working to tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, analytical, technical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive and have the knowledge and skills to use own initiative in handling clients queries and escalate to management when required.
  • Adaptable and flexible to changes.
