Role & Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to manage client communications for all middle-office clients across open ended and close ended structures
  • Report to company Head of Middle Office, APAC  on a regular basis, presenting essential client feedback, complaints and suggestions for ongoing improvement within internal operations teams
  • Provide assistance to Sales Team, clarifying details of product and service offerings to
    prospective clients and managing client expectations
  • Coordinate and manage the client onboarding projects between internal operations teams and external counterparties, ensuring that client funds can be launched within expected timeframe
  • First point of contact for client enquiries, managing investigations with internal operations teams and ensuring that responses are provided in a timely manner to maintain client satisfaction levels
  • Actively communicate with existing clients to extract feedback and suggestions, understanding their needs and proposed any upselling solutions
  • Develop and implement KPI System to actively keep track of task based performance
    fund clients with Assets under Management
  • Provide statistics of client fund performance versus operational capacity for top management analysis.
  • Serve a diversified hedge fund client base with multiple strategies
  • Strong fundamental knowledge in the product life cycle of listed products (equities, bonds, futures and options) and OTC products (index and FX options, Forwards/NDFs, CDS, IRS).
  • Supervise daily P/L and NAV reporting to clients and communicate closely with clients to explain fluctuations in P/L and NAV
  • Oversee 3-way reconciliations between in-house system, Prime Brokers and Fund
    Administrator of each client fund to ensure positions, capital and margins, trading and non-trading accruals align to reinforce data integrity of reports that are delivered to clients
  • Implement risk monitoring procedures for clients to ensure investment strategies of each client fund is in line with their respective Private Placement Memorandums (PPM)
  • Streamline operational procedures by designing and implementing VBA/SQL based tools to standardize and reduce operational risk stemming from human error
  • Bachelor’s required and Master’s level education preferred
  • Professional qualifications such as CA, CFA are not required but nice to have
  • Minimum 10 years industry experience
  • Possess a strong fundamental knowledge in the product life cycle of listed products (equities, bonds, futures and options) and OTC products (index and FX options, Forwards/NDFs, CDS, IRS)
  • Strong proficiency in accounting and post-trade operations
  • Good knowledge in risk and fund valuations would be an advantage

The successful applicant will be responsible to lead a team to manage client communications and operations, provide assistance to Sales Team, clarify details of product and services offerings to prospective clients and managing client’s expectations. To carry out these duties, the successful applicant will carry out and coordinate with Operations Team and Sales Team, and to deliver timely and high quality middle office services to our clients. This role will report to Head of Middle Office, APAC.
