Role & Key Responsibilities:

Apex IFS is looking for a highly motivated individual to manage one of our client aviation portfolios. Entities under management average at 30-50 SPVs. Services provided to our clients include preparation of management accounts, preparation of financial statements, arranging audits, tax compliance include corporation tax, VAT, CRS, FATCA, other compliance including EMIR, corporate governance including company secretary, board meeting management and document execution.

The client services team member will act as front of house for our corporate service offering to their portfolio of clients. The team member will be responsible for the overall client relationship. They will perform technical and value add services whilst coordinating with all our internal Apex teams and external client servicers to ensure the client deliverables are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Deputising for the team manager during team manager absences.
  • Oversight of client deliverables within the client portfolio to ensure adherence to corporate service agreement.
  • Ensuring high levels of service delivery including acting as a primary point of contact for operations issue resolution.
  • Acting as the key liaison point with originators, investment managers, arrangers, aircraft lessors, operators and other relevant parties.
  • Acting as the internal technical lead for the client portfolio.
  • Reviewing of periodic management accounts to required standard and deadlines.
  • Reviewing of annual financial statements to required standard and deadlines.
  • Reviewing transaction documents to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Liaison with auditors to plan the annual audit and ongoing, respond to queries and general audit management to ensure timely completion within client and/or statutory deadlines.
  • Coordination of the completion of audit going concern, impairment and valuation memos and the completion of audit questionnaires.
  • Preparation of periodic tax and statutory returns e.g., VAT returns, DAC6, CBC, FATCA, CRS
  • Liaison with the tax advisors to ensure corporation tax filings and payments submitted within statutory deadlines.
  • Coordination between internal Apex teams, Directors, legal advisors, and clients to complete annual tax questionnaires.
  • Working closely with off-shore servicing teams to ensure a high quality and supremely co-ordinated service is delivered to client relationships.
  • Ensuring client fully compliant with other statutory obligations e.g., MAR, AML, EMIR,
  • Attending and presenting at board meetings and drafting related board papers and minutes
  • Coordinating with our Company Secretarial team to ensure company secretarial filings submitted within statutory deadlines.
  • Managing the on-boarding of new client entities from a client services perspective.
  • Coordinating with our Business Administration team to fulfil general administration requirements for client portfolio.
  • Oversight of service delivery in line with the client fee structure and escalation of service creep where applicable.
  • Coordinating with our Business Development team in identifying and following up on business opportunities and the development of our services.
  • Identifying, recommending, and implementing improved work practices for the team which can be rolled out to the other client service teams.
  • Typically 3+ years industry experience
  • Qualified Accountant
  • Expert knowledge of IFRS and Irish GAAP
  • Excellent attention to detail & organisations skills and an ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks under time pressure
  • Ability to work on own initiative and take full ownership of client portfolio
  • Ability to work effectively in fast paced, complex and dynamic work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills
  • Knowledge of corporate governance, relevant local laws and regulatory requirements would be a distinct advantage.
