This is an exciting opportunity for a social media and email marketer to join a growing global financial services business and own its social media strategy. Apex is on an exceptional growth trajectory, having grown 10 x over the past two years, and requires an experienced social media marketer with an understanding of the industry, to lead and effectively deliver the companies message and drive growth.


Reporting directly to the Head of Brand and Corporate Communications, the Social Media Marketing Manager will be responsible for owning the end to end process, from planning to delivery of a market leading social media experience, ultimately implementing a high performing data-driven strategy to drive awareness and support the pipeline. You will be required to take ownership of the creation, co-ordination, deployment and optimisation of the social media strategy and work closely with the rest of the Communications team in addition to the Demand and Digital teams to continually optimise performance.


  • Develop, deploy and coordinate a scalable social media growth strategy based on integrated messaging.
  • Manage organic and paid social across all social channels including LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Glassdoor (Facebook and Instagram for employer branding activity).
  • The ability to develop compelling and concise messages that cut through the noise and adhere to our brand voice.
  • Develop an audience focused social media strategy across our key audience segments and work closely with the portfolio marketing team to execute on go-to-market strategy and clearly communicate value proposition.
  • Develop excellent HTML templates for email marketing and execute on email marketing campaigns alongside the Demand team.
  • Produce copy and review copy from other team members, ensuring quality content on social media channels.
  • Work closely with the Internal Communications Manager to develop our employer voice and develop a clear strategy for Glassdoor with key milestones and KPIs.
  • Align the social media strategy and programs with the demand marketing team for regional focus and ensure that all tactics and activity feed up in to overarching strategy.
  • Work with our creative agency to develop impactful execution tactics for key creative campaigns to maximise the use of assets and deliver programs that have genuine impact.
  • Report on all social media marketing activity and performance against clear performance metrics.
  • Support with acquisition communications across social media, working closely with the Head of Media Relations to gain maximum exposure for press releases.
  • Leverage platforms such as LinkedIn to find industry influencers and partner with them for increased exposure.
  • Be accountable for ensuring all social media activity is compliant with relevant data protection and industry regulations – working with the compliance and governance teams to develop and adhere to a clear framework.
  • Work with the Head of Brand and Corporate Communications and the Internal Communications Manager to develop and execute and employee advocacy programme.
  • Work with the Graphic Designer and Brand Manager to create compelling content assets and visuals for social.
  • Analyse social media tools to support requirements and build a business case for any additional requirements.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
  • Demonstrable HTML email coding experience.
  • Prior experience within a specialist B2B social media role, ideally from a finance background required.
  • Demonstrable experience of working on B2B LinkedIn campaigns.
  • Knowledge of APAC social platforms such as WeChat and Line would be beneficial.
  • Must have solid organic and paid social experience.
  • Self-starter, problem solver, and excellent planner who works well under pressure.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to apply business strategy to social media outcomes.
  • Graduate degree in Marketing or relevant experience in Finance Industry would be advantageous.
  • A high level of visibility within a large organisation on an upwards trajectory.
  • The ability to build and define the social media strategy from the group up to deliver a tangible impact on the business.
